Blythe Rippon is co-owner of Dirt Road Books, a publishing house that focuses on stories about women and marginalized communities. Her first novel, Barring Complications, won the Rainbow Award for Best Lesbian Debut, and the sequel, Benched was released in the spring of 2017. Both are legal narratives focusing on the fight for LGBTQ rights. Her other novel, Stowe Away, is a coming-of-age story about finding happiness when life throws curveballs.
Blythe is a professor at a liberal arts college in the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her wife and their two children.
